Amanda Lindhout is an award winning humanitarian and public speaker, as well as the founder of of the founder of the Global Enrichment Foundation who moved on from her traumatic experience of being held hostage for 460 days in Somalia.

We'll also discuss Somalia, a country located in the Horn of Africa which has a population of approximately 10 million people, the majority of who are Muslim. Since 1991 when the Somali Civil War broke out, country suffered through decades of instability made worse through famines and religious extremism that made its way into the country's laws. In 2012, Somalia established its first permanent central government in the country since the start of the civil war.
