RE: Invitation to attend Mixer Fundraiser for The Rubaboo Arts Festival
Alberta Aboriginal Performing Arts is a not for profit organization operating in Edmonton, AB since 2009. We engage a variety of artists throughout the year as well as produce our flagship annual event, The Rubaboo Festival, a multi‐disciplinary arts event showcasing Aboriginal theatre, music, dance, art, film, workshops and Artisans Fair. AAPA has been dedicated to increasing the opportunities for Aboriginal artists within Edmonton and Alberta. We view every project as community development knowing the arts are a way of increasing the engagement of Aboriginal artists and people in leadership roles. This work is vital towards the Aboriginal Renaissance and the improvement of quality of life for a population that has been historically marginalized.
On behalf of Alberta Aboriginal Arts and Pyretics Production, it is our pleasure to invite you to a ‘Mixer Fundraiser’ event on February 10, 2015. The evening will start off with an 8PM ‘Bears’ performance, tickets are $21.50 plus GST at the ATB Arts Barns box office and into the mixer to begin at 9PM in Studio A across the hall from the theatre.
The event will be held at the ATB Arts Barns, esteemed business partners, it would be our honor to have your presence on this auspicious occasion. It is also an opportunity to thank you and for the fine business collaboration to celebrate this year’s City of Edmonton Winter Festival festivities. This is your chance to bid on very unique Aboriginal visual art pieces created through the 2015 Rubaboo Fusion Nights by Lana Whiskeyjack, Dawn Marie Marchand, and guests.
I do hope that you will be able to confirm your attendance to this invitation; we look forward to your presence at this celebration.
